Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Bennett has always had a passion for working directly with her hands. Dentistry (and oral surgery in particular) is an art form that involves both medicine and science, and it was easy for her to realize that this field was her calling in life. Today, it gives her great pleasure to help patients have a wholeheartedly positive experience in the treatment chair!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Bennett completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Indiana University School of Dentistry, then went on to pursue specialized training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. During her residency, she was lucky enough to be mentored by some of the most preeminent oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the country! She gained extensive experience in dentoalveolar procedures, full mouth rehabilitation with dental implants, pathology/reconstruction procedures, orthognathic surgery, and outpatient anesthesia. She is currently a proud Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as a member of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Indiana Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
At home, Dr. Bennett and her husband Jesse have a son and a baby daughter. As for hobbies, horses are a lifelong passion for her – she grew up riding and competing and is still an avid equestrian to this day! She is lucky to now have a farm with horses of her own. She also spends her free time doing pretty much anything outdoors with the entire family and enjoying local foods.
