Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?
While in college, Dr. Graham was initially premed and prelaw. However, after working one summer in a hospital, he decided not to become a physician. The following summer, he spent some time in a law firm and also decided that being a lawyer wasn’t for him. Ultimately, he and a few friends decided to give dental school a try as a group. In the end, he was the only one who actually became a dentist – and it turned out to be an amazing decision!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Graham completed both his undergraduate career and his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. He then underwent a one-year General Practice Residency at the University of Chicago in 1982. Today, he’s completed an extensive amount of continuing education, specifically focusing on restorative solutions and periodontal therapy. He is also a member of the following organizations:
- American Dental Association
- Illinois Dental Society
- Academy of General Dentistry
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Graham is the proud father of five children. Three are still attending college, while his son lives in Salt Lake City and his oldest daughter lives in Chicago. When he isn’t busy directly caring for teeth, his biggest passion by far is teaching! He owns Catapult Education, what has been one of the leaders in post-graduate education for the past 15 years. This has allowed him to constantly travel and teach in far-off places like China, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Bali, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Finland, Sweden, France, and more. In fact, he’s often topped 100,000 miles in the air each year!
