Lou Graham, DDS
Dr. Graham has always approached his practice of dentistry with a progressive yet conservative methodology.
Dr. Graham is an internationally recognized lecturer extensively involved in continuing education for dental professionals, focusing on incorporating current clinical advancements through “conservative dentistry”. He emphasizes in his teachings the same things he practices: dental health diagnosis, treatment plans for medically compromised patients, conservative treatment, cosmetic dentistry, and customized approaches to periodontal care, implants and laser dentistry.
Dr. Graham is a graduate of Emory Dental School. He is the past Dental Director and holds a part time faculty position at the University of Chicago. He enjoys providing dental care at his private practice, University Dental Professionals, in Chicago, IL – Hyde Park.
Rauf Yousuf, DDS 
Dr. Yousuf is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1995. After completing a one-year hospital fellowship in general dentistry at Illinois Masonic Hospital, he received his specialty training in periodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry. He holds a Masters Degree in Oral Biology from Indiana University as well.
Dr. Yousuf has been a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Illinois of Chicago, College of Dentistry. Dr. Yousuf specializes in all aspects of periodontics, including soft tissue grafting, bone grafting, implants, crown lengthening and reconstructive periodontal surgery.
He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, Midwest Society of Periodontists, American Dental Associations, Illinois Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society.
Sheila Vacendak, DDS
Dr. Vacendak is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1997 and was inducted as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a dental honorary society. Dr. Vacendak went on to complete a one year general dentistry residency program, also at MCV.
Dr. Vacendak has recently relocated from Virginia where she practiced dentistry for the past ten years. She has completed over 450 hours of continuing education focusing on conservative and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Vacendak is especially interested in implant restorations, root canal therapy and treating medically compromised patients with customized treatment plans. She is committed to providing compassionate, quality care for the entire family.
Dr. Vacendak is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Chicago Dental Society and the Illinois Dental Association.
Jignesh M. Patel, D.D.S.
A 1997 graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry, Dr. Patel believes in conservative dentistry; focusing on preserving natural tooth structure and listening to patient concerns. Dr. Patel’s philosophy of dentistry focuses on patient-based relationships by addressing immediate concerns while maintaining optimum oral health.
Dr. Patel believes education does not stop after the classroom, and has invested over 1000 hours of ongoing continuing education focusing on patient care and improving the quality of life for those he treats. Dr. Patel’s latest interest is sports dentistry. He is focusing on developing performance mouth-wear for professional and amateur athletes to enhance athletic performance while persevering the TMJ.
Staying on the forefront of dentistry is his number one priority. Dentistry is his passion from preventive dentistry to advanced cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Patel is motivated to be the best dentist that he can be.
Dr. Patel is the eldest of two children and has lived in the Northwest Suburbs of IL most of his life. Prior to dental school, he received a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois – Urbana – Champaign. Outside of the practice, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife, Rupal, and his daughter, Niva. Other hobbies include the love of sports, in particular, football and mixed martial arts. His Sunday ritual always includes spending three hours watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. Other favorite pastimes include spending time with his friends and enjoying different ethnic foods.
